Counseling for teens and adults
Now celebrating 12 years in business est. 2012
I have my master's degree in social work and am licensed as an LICSW - Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker - and have been practicing social work for 24 years, more than half of which has been providing direct therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups. I have been in business for myself for ten years in Salem. I know most people aren't aware that social workers do counseling, so I have provided a reference for you called "Finding a Therapist Who can Help You Heal" in the About Therapy section that explains the different types of counselors, education levels, and what kinds of therapy the different counseling professions provide.
I enjoy working with teens and adults on a wide variety of issues, to include parenting skills, teen issues, and couples/marital counseling, I am also a proud ally to the LGBTQ+ community. I also see people for anxiety, depression, life stage changes, post-traumatic stress disorder to include childhood trauma, sexual and/or physical, verbal and emotional abuse, relationship struggles, work struggles, and struggles with having to go on disability. Please feel free to call me to see if there is something else I can help you with that I haven't listed here.
Please be aware that I have a Chihuahua named Milo that comes to work with me. He is very friendly and loves people but if you are allergic to dogs or afraid of them, let me know ahead of time so I can put him in another room. Thank you!
